Pension from anganwadis in Pondy

Puducherry,Sep 16(UNI) Aged persons,widows and destitutes would once again get their monthly pension through the Anganwadis in their areas from next month.

According to an official release here today,the Social Welfare Department had insisted on collecting pension through the banks in the respective areas.

However, the decision was reversed following a representation that aged persons would find it difficult to come to the bank to get the pension.
