Oppn plans has been foiled: Patel
Bhopal, Sep 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Revenue Minister Kamal Patel today said the Opposition plans has been foiled with the Supreme Court delivering verdict in his favour in the Income-Tax case.
Mr Patel told reporters here that he was a farmer and his family owned 200 acre farm land since quite long. Later, 50 acre land was purchased under prescribed rules and regulations. He claimed that he was regular Income-Tax payer.
Mr Patel, who represents Harda in the state legislative assembly, said the Congress had unnecessarily tried to make an issue out of it and even filed a petition in the Supreme Court in this regard.
However, the apex court quashed the petition.
He challenged Congress leaders to face him in electoral battlefield.
''Unprecedented work has been carried out in the welfare of farmers during the BJP rule,'' the Minister said, adding that public would vote the party back to power.
