JK: Militancy victims of Baramulla given ex-gratia
Srinagar, Sep 16: Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of 25 militancy victims while six other cases were referred for re-verification, official sources said today.
They said a District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting was today held at Baramulla to take up 31 militancy related cases of victims.
The meeting was presided over by District Magistrate, Baseer Ahmad Khan. Each case was discussed before deciding Rs 18.78 lakh in favour of 25 victims on the spot.
Rs 11 lakh were sanctioned in favour of 11 death cases, Rs 6.28 lakh for 12 property damaged cases and Rs 1.50 lakh in favour of 2 injured persons.
Six cases were forwarded for re-verification, they said.
