Bangalore, Sep 16: Infosys Technologies on Tuesday, Sep 16 said it will take a decision on its investment plans in West Bengal after the government allots land to the firm.

"We still have not got the land, once we get the land we will take a decision definitely," Infosys Chairman and Chief Mentor N R Narayana Murthy told reporters here today. "We have not got the land, so it is difficult for us to comment", he said when asked about the investment plans.
Murthy's comments come a few days after company HR chief and Member of Board T V Mohandas Pai's remarks that it would reconsider its plans in West Bengal if needed.

Reacting to the Singur developments Pai said on September 8, "Singur has created fear in the minds of India Inc. We are watching the development very closely. We will rethink and reconsider the situation if need be".

Infosys had signed a Memorandum of Understanding for acquiring land three months back. The company was looking at 99 acres of land in the state, he said but refused to divulge the location. The board would hold a meeting and take a decision, he said.
