Shell-MRPL JV supplies ATF to Jet, start India operations
New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Shell-MRPL Aviation Fuels&Services Pvt Ltd today announced the start of commercial operations in India with the fuelling of Jet Airways and Lufthansa aircraft at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA).
''We are delighted to have commenced our operations by partnering with a leading Indian and an International airline,'' company's CEO Sanjay Varkey said in a statement.
The company had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to supply Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) to Jet Airways at Bangalore and Hyderabad airports.
It had also signed an MOU with the German airline Lufthansa to supply part of their ATF requirements at BIA, Bangalore.
''We look forward to commencing our commercial operations at the Hyderabad airport at the earliest. We are committed to providing our partners with global safety, quality and service standards,'' Mr Varkey said.
The recently-formed joint venture Leverages Shell Aviation's global network, customer base and stringent quality control procedures, and MRPL's expertise and high quality products to provide a compelling, co-branded refuelling offer locally to Indian and International airlines.
