Pondy: Rich tributes paid to Annadurai

Puducherry, Sep 15: Floral tributes were paid to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravidian leader C N Annadurai on his birth centenary here today.

Chief Minister V Vaithilingam, his Cabient colleagues, Speaker R Radhakrishnan, MLAs and senior officials garlanded state of Annadurai.

The AIADMK and DMK workers led by their respective leaders took out separate processions and garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.

Leaders of the MDMK and DMDK also garlanded the statue.

For the first time, the Puducherry administration declared a public holiday on the occasion.
