Jawan wounded in Pak firing in Poonch
Jammu, Sep 15 (UNI) An army jawan was seriously wounded in firing from across the border as Pakistan yet again violated cease-fire agreement in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here today said.
''Pakistan army yesterday opened fire on Indian posts from their Chuha post across Balnoi area of tehsil Mendhar on Line of Control (LoC), thus, violating the ceasefire agreement,'' sources told UNI.
The sources, however, also revealed that a jawan of 4 Bihar got critically wounded in the firing, while the Indian side did not retaliate.
Meanwhile, Army did not confirm the reports about the ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
For the last couple of months, Pakistan reportedly had been violating the ceasefire agreement in the bordering districts of Poonch and Rajouri near the Loc.
