Haryana mulls setting up 423 education centres
Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) The Haryana government is considering a proposal of the Haryana Child Welfare Council to set up 423 education centres in the state.
The Council has also forwarded a project to Central government to impart training to women and girls for taking up self employment ventures.
This was revealed at the inaugural function of 2nd state level 5-day camp organised by Haryana State Child Welfare Council in Ambala City today to educate the children on how to live together.
As many as 110 children from various districts of Haryana, Bal Kunj, Chhachrauli and Asha Kunj, Rewari are participating in the camp alongwith their teachers.
Inaugurating the camp, Vice-President of Haryana Child Welfare Council Asha Hooda, wife of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said children should not be confined to bookish knowledge only, but ample opportunities should be provided to them for their overall development.
Therefore, such camps could play a significant role in their overall development personality.
She stressed the need for infusing among sense of patriotism children a and making them responsible citizens. She cautioned that certain evil forces were trying to divide the nation by drawing the lines of religion, caste and regionalism.
Therefore, with a view to give a befitting reply to such forces, these camps were being oraganised to inspire the children to understand the significance of living together.
