BJP to take out morcha on Sep 17 for pending demands
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 15 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde today said the party will take out a 'morcha' to the venue of the two-day Cabinet meeting, to held here from September 17, in support of the pending demands including adequate and regular power supply, water storage tanks for each village and assistance to farmers to buy fodder for their animals.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Munde alleged that the Cabinet meeting was just an ''eyewash'' and the government would again resort to making big promises, which it had failed to keep, as in the past.
The government had spent mere Rs 280 crore of the Rs 2,033 crore package on various works, he alleged and said it should have spent at least Rs 1,000 crore for the same.
Mr Munde said the morcha would be led by him and the state party president Nitin Gadkari.
He also demanded that the collectors be given more powers so that they can implement the schemes without delay.
Senior BJP leaders Haribhau Bagade and Shrikant Joshi were also present at the briefing.
