Congress condemns attack on places of worship
Bangalore, Sep 14 (UNI) Strongly condemning today's attack on places of worship in Karnataka, the Congress today demanded the resignation of Home Minister V S Acharya.
KPCC president Mallikarjuna Kharge demanded that the Home Minister should quit for failing to give protection to the minorities in his own district.
Talking to UNI, Mr Kharge came down heavily on the attacks on at least seven places of worship. ''I demand the arrest of all Bajrang Dal activists and all culprits be brought to book,'' he said.
Describing the attacks as a part of a well planned design by the Sangh Parivar against the minorities, the Congress leader demanded that all those, who were involved in the attacks be arrested.
''The BJP, which completed 100 days in power in Karnataka is imposing Hindutva, the hidden agenda of the saffron party, in the state'' he alleged.
