BJP pours out anger on Centre for serial blasts in Delhi
Jaunpur, Sep 14 (UNI) Blaming the Centre for the deadly blasts in the national capital yesterday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister of State for Home Swami Chinmayanand, while addressing journalists said, '' The Central government has failed to check infiltration of the outlaws into the country.'' The coordinated blasts in Delhi happened due to the Centre's flaws and incapabilties and therefore, the PM and the Union Home minister should resign, Mr Chinmayanand maintained.
''It would be incorrect, if the country's Intelligence network was held responsible for these blasts as we lack any effective law to fight terrorism,'' the BJP leader said, mentioning the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA).
''Had POTA been existent in the country, terrorists would have been dealt with sternly,'' the former union minister of state for Home quipped.
Pointing at Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru, he charged the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre with supporting terrorism by not executing him.
