6th pay commission by Mar 2009 in Arunachal

Itanagar, Sep 14: Arunachal Pradesh government would implement the pay scale recommended by Sixth Pay Commission by the end of this financial year.

Announcing this on the floor of the assembly on Friday, Finance minister Kalikho Pul said, state was not in a position to implement it immediately due to financial crunch.

Arrears from January 1, 2006 to August 30 this year would come to Rs 643.13 crore, he informed.

Execution of the 6th pay scale would be possible only after the receipt of 13th Finance Commissions grant, he added.
