AP Minister appeals to people to maintain peace during immersion

Hyderabad, Sep 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today appealed to people to maintain peace and tranquility during immersion of Ganesh idols.

After performing special pooja to Lord Ganesh at Khairatabad along with Energy and Coal Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir and Backward Classes Welfare Minister M Mukesh Goud, he said the government had taken all precautionery measures to provide adequate security for the people.

The devotees could participate in the immersion without any fear as the police had made strict security arrangements, he said and urged the people to cooperate with the police force during immersion in a peaceful manner.
