Wipro, SAS enter into agreement
Mumbai, Sep 13: IT services provider Wipro (Kolkata) on Thursday, Sep 11 signed agreement with US-based software firm SAS to deliver Business Intelligence and software solutions to meet its increasing demand. "With SAS's powerful analytics and Wipro's global services network, we would deliver increased value and high return-on-investments to joint customers across Asia Pacific and other regions," Wipro Global Head and Vice-President (Business Technology Services) Srini Pallia said.
The initial focus of the partnership would be on banking and financial services. However, telecommunications and retail would also be added over time, the release said.
"Partnership must bring value to the customers. Combining SAS's strength and experience in BI and analytics software with Wipro's consulting services will help customers thrive," SAS Vice-President (Alliance and Product Marketing), Russ Cobb said.
