SGPC to welcome PM at Golden Templeduring his Punjab visit in Oct

Fatehgarh Sahib, Sep 13 (UNI) The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) will accord a warm welcome to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh when he will pay obeisance at the Golden Temple on October 19 during his two-day Punjab visit.

This was stated here today by SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar.

The Prime Minister will take part in a function of the Punjab and Sind bank at the Guru Nanak Dev University at Amritsar on October 18 and would pay obeisance at the Golden Temple the following day. Dr Singh will then fly to Ropar to lay the foundation stone of the IIT there. He will further move onto Mohali for another foundation stone laying ceremony.
