Prime Minister, Sonia condemn serial blasts in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has condemned the serial blasts in the Capital and appealed to the people to remain calm.

Expressing grief over the loss of lives in the blasts, Dr Singh asked the concerned authorities to provide assistance to the injured.

The Prime Minister, who was to attend an Iftar party hosted by Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, has cancelled the programme.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi also condemned the dastardly act describing it as an act of cowardice. She said,'' Those behind the blasts will not be spared and they have no place in our civilised society.'' UNI PMD GT PM2010
