PM, HM intimated beforehand of blasts in Delhi : Modi
Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) Expressing anguish over the loss of lives and injuries to hundreds of people in the serial blasts in New Delhi, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil were intimated beforehand about the 'serious plans' of the militants to carry out attacks in the Capital.
Reacting to the serial blasts that shook Delhi this evening, Mr Modi who is here to attend the BJP national executive said he had told Prime Minister , Home Minister and his security advisor about the revelations made by the terrorist suspects during the interrogation by the Ahmedabad police ten days ago, when he was in the national capital.
''Although the exact locations were not specified, the terrorists spilled the beans that they were awaiting orders from their higher-ups to carry out blasts in Delhi,'' he said.
Mr Modi said that only this morning he had raised the need for having common anti-terror laws in all the states to deal effectively against terror in the BJP Executive.
"I am only sorry about the loss of lives and injuries caused to innocent Delhiites", he remarked.
