Noted writer Konniyur Narendranath passes away

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) Noted Malayalam writer and Former Station Director of All India Radio, Chennai, Konniyur Narendranath died here yesterday after a prolonged illness.

He was 82 and is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

A popular science writer, Narendranath had 40 books to his credit.

His novel ''Varam'' had been made into a teleserial and broadcast by the Doordarshan Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram.

Narendranath had also served as AIR Station Director at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.
