Noted social activist Yohannan Ramban passes away

Kottayam, Sep 13 (UNI) Noted social activist and spiritual leader P C Yohannan Ramban of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church died at a private hospital here today. He was 74.

He was taken to hospital following chest pain and the end came at 0530 hrs. the funeral will be held later, Church sources said.

Yohannan Ramban was the founder-leader of the Pampady K G College, ITC, Asha Kiran, a rehabilitation centre of HIV positive mothers and children, Abhaya Bhavan, Bala Bhavan and several other Church-run institutions.

He was also the president of the all Kerala Orphanages' Asociation.
