Nitish government fail in rescue and relief operation:RJD
Patna, Sep 13 (UNI) Charging the Nitish Kumar Government with failure on handling the rescue and relief operation after catastrophic flood in north Bihar, the RJD said the state disaster management was made crippled during the NDA regime in the state.
National spokesman of the party Shyam Rajak told newspersons that state disaster management department had totally failed in discharging its responsibility in this hour of natural calamity due to utter negligence of the Nitish Kumar Government.
'' It is strange to note that state Water Resources Minister Nitish Mishra, supposed to establish coordination between various departments and non-government organisations, have been made in-charge of one flood-affected district, while the Principal Secretary of the department was being allowed to handle the affairs throughout Bihar, '' he stated.
'' Mere accepting cheques for flood relief fund by the Bihar Chief Minister is not enough and he should do something concrete to mitigate the sufferings of the flood affected victims, '' Mr Rajak quipped.
