Lankan Navy detains 38 Indian fishermen
Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Sep 13 (UNI) The Sri Lanka Navy has detained 38 Indian fishermen.
According to reports reaching here today, the Lankan Navy arrested eleven fishermen yesterday, hailing from Rameswaram, while the remaining were from Nagapattinam.
Further details were awaited.
Tensed situation was prevailing in Rameswaram and Nagapattinam coastal hamlets in view of the arrests of Indian fishermen by the Lankan Navy.
