BJP national executive remains bereft of glamour

Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) The glamour quotient was lacking at the BJP National Executive as several of its filmstar members did not turn up even on the second day of the three-day meeting here today.

Filmstars like Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Vinod Khanna and TV artiste and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who bedecked the previous Executive meetings, were conspicuous by their absence. The only film and TV artiste, who made good of their absence, was Smriti Irani.

Dharmendra is not a member of the Executive, hence it was not expected from him to come to the meeting.

The stars are used to be among top BJP campaigners in the elections.

To a pertinent question on their absence, BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi jokingly quipped that the party had given them time off so that they could be used extensively in coming poll campaigns.
