Red ribbon express to arrive at Rajkot on Oct 7
Rajkot, Sep 12 (UNI) The Red Ribbon Express train is scheduled to arrive here on October seven to spread awareness about Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
The seven-coach train exhibits an exhibition on AIDS, and also has a counseling centre and a group of artists, who will spread awareness about the disease, an official press release said.
District advisory committee's meeting was held here yesterday, under the Chairmanship of District Collector H S Patel and attended by concerned officials of the district. It emphasised on creating awareness about the AIDS by organising more and more programmes on the disease.
They stressed on the need to garner maximum people from across the district, when the train arrives here.
People should avail of the opportunity to know more about HIV/AIDS and its prevention by visiting the awareness train in large numbers.
The HIV/AIDS awareness express train will stay at the station for two days -- October seven and eight.
The journey of the RRE was inaugurated from New Delhi on December first 2007.
