Passenger arrested in airport on tresspase case
Chennai, Sep 12 (UNI) Airport Police arrested a passenger in Chennai Airport in a tresspass case last night.
Police said the passenger Sai Raj(51) an employee of a plastic company, drove his car at Gate No.9 in the airport which is meant for flight crews to enter and depart. When interrogated by the Indian Airlines security officials and the CISF, the passenger said he entered the gate due to oversight, as he got stuck up in Pallavaram and St Thomas Mount due to traffic jam.
Despite Mr Raj's repeated plea to leave him, the officials unsatisfied with his reply handed him over to the airport police by recording the matter as 'trespass'.
The passenger was, remanded to judicial custody in Alandur under section IPC:448, police added.
