Groundnutseed, its oil and RBD Palmolein prices further down

Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) The downward trend continued today as prices of groundnutseed, its oil and RBD Palmolein fell on sluggish demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of key seeds (per quintal) like groundnut and javas 60/70 fell by Rs 100 and Rs 20 per quintal respectively on lower buying support.

Javas 70/80 and Javas 80/90 also came down by Rs 30 and Rs 25 per quintal respectively.

Nigerseed and catorseed Disa was up by Rs 50 and Rs 5 amid renewed demand by stockists, traders said.

Edible oils (per ten kg), such as groundnut raw and refined palmolein, eased by Rs 20 and Rs 12 per ten kg respectively on lack of fresh demand by bulk consumers.

Even cottonseed (refined) and castor comm also dipped by Rs 12 and Rs 5 pr ten kg respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists.

In de-oiled cakes, groundnut extra and rapeseed extr fell by Rs 250 and Rs 400 per metric tonne respectively on lower buying support.

Soyameal and castor extr also became cheaper by Rs 100 and Rs 150 per metric tonne on persistent offloading by stock holders, traders added.
