DD studio in Goa to be inaugurated during IFFI

Panaji, Sep 12 (UNI) Doordarshan unit of Goa will be inaugurated during the 39th edition of the International Film Festival of India in November-December this year.

Rajya Sabha member of Goa Shantaram Naik, in a press communique, said that Union Information&Broadcasting minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi assured him regarding the same when he called on him in New Delhi today.

Mr Naik said he had urged the minister to rush a team of Prasar Bharati to prepare the schedule for the inauguration of the studio, while ensuring timely arrival and installation of the studio machinery and equipment.

Mr Dasmunsi assured Mr Naik that he would sort out the issue with the help of the Chief Executive Officer of the Prasar Bharati tomorrow, to ensure that the studio was inaugurated during the IFFI event, the release added.
