Cameras to be fitted in court premises: IG

Hisar, Sep 12 (UNI) All court complexes in the state would be linked with CCTV camera network to keep a tab on the accompalices and members of the criminal gangs and check incidence of crime on court premises, Inspector General Police Anant Kumar Dhul said here today.

While addressing mediapersons, the IG said that scientific insvestigation training has been made compulsory for the Investating Officers and five police stations, one in each district of this police range, were being converted into model police stations of international standards.

The IG further disclosed that community involvement in solving the religio-social problems have been very successful and in future more and more people would be associated to co-ordinate with the police to tackle such problems as was recently faced in Sirsa. There the community participation helped the police to bring harmony in the society, he added.

Mr. Dhul said,"We seek active co-operation of the public to weed out corruption in the police department. The graft in the department is being dealt with severely and even SHOs and above rank officers, if found guilty, are being punished. Night patrolling is being streamlined." UNI XC JN MMS1836
