BJP not averse for a tie up with Praja Rajyam in AP: Leader
Bangalore, Sep 12 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh is not averse to forge a pre-poll tie-up with the newly floated political outfit 'Prajarajyam' in the coming Lok Sabha and assembly elections, BJP's state president Bandaru Dattatreya said here today.
Speaking to newspersons after coming out from the three-day BJP National Executive Meeting here tonight Mr Dattatreya said that the BJP was in favor of fighting the coming elections in AP on its own strength, but was open to have electoral tie-up with like minded parties.
He however said the BJP has not taken any initiative in this direction for a possible political tie-up with the Chiranjeevi party.
"We of course support many of the issues which the Praja Rajyam Chief has raised" he said.
Indicating a future tie-up with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti he said The BJP was for creation of smaller states for better governance and would support TRS long standing demand of creation of a separate Telangana state if NDA comes to power at the Centre.
Strongly reacting to former NDA partner Telugu Desam Party's stand of not to have any poll alliance with the BJP, he said that it will not hamper the prospect of his party. "With the launch of Praja Rajya Telugu Desam itself is in danger of severely eroding its base in AP.
This decision will hurt the TDP more than the BJP," he claimed.
