Bhishma recommended for Shourya Puraskar
Bilaspur, CG, Sep 12 (UNI) The Bilaspur District Collector has recommended the name of 17-year-old Bhishma Singh for 'Shourya Puraskar' for his courageous act to protect a drowning child.
Pardeshi Sahu (8), who hails from Khapri village, was taking bath in Tesuva river when he started drowning due to rise in the water level and speeding current. Bhishma, who was passing by, heard the cries of the child for help and rescued him.
Bhishma has been awarded with state bravery award for the act.
