Amarnath land row: BJP asks ECI to take note of secessionists
Bangalore, Sep 12 (UNI) The BJP today demanded that the Election Commission of India take action against those political parties which extended support to separatist forces in Kashmir Valley during the agitation opposing allotment of land to the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad, briefing the media on the opening session of the three-day BJP National Executive Meeting that started here today, urged the ECI to take note of those political parties which have identified with separatist forces in the valley.
He alleged that during the agitation in Kashmir valley, separatist forces, which also enjoyed 'patronage' from political parties, were seen indulging in burning the Indian tricolor. He demanded the UPA government to deal with them sternly and book under sedition charges.
Taking up the cause of the uprooted Kashmir Pandits, who were out of the troubled state Jammu and Kashmir due to terrorists threats, Mr Prasad also demanded that the Centre identify separate land for their rehabilitation inside the Valley.
