Madhya Pradesh: Trains to run on alternate route

Bilaspur, Sep 11: In view of on-going reparing work on railway tracks on Kharagpur-Bhadrak section under South Eastern Railway, Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express and Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknama Express would run on diverted route till September 30.

A spokesman of South Eastern Central Railway said that due to the reparing work the routes of the two trains were diverted through for the last two months. While 8477-8478 Utkal Express has been diverted on Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Angul-Cuttack route, Falaknama Express (2703-2704) had also been diverted through Kharagpur-Jharsuguda- Bilaspur-Durg- Nagpur-Ballarshah, he said.

Tracks were damaged severely and bridges were washed away at many places on Kharagpur-Bhadrak section owing to heavy rains in West Bengal and Orissa in June last.
