Precious metals ease on bullish advice

Mumbai, Sep 11: Both the precious metals eased in the opening session on Thursday, Sep 11 with silver sliding by Rs 505 per kg at Rs 18,795 and Gold by Rs 175 per ten gm at Rs 11,290 on sustained heavy selling pressure from local dealers, in view of bearish trend in the global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Traders received a report from Asian markets today that gold fell to USD 748.60/783.40 from USD 752.25/754.60 an ounce and white metal was quoted low at USD 10.62/10.72 an ounce from USD 10.75/10.83 an ounce, which affected to downward trend at the domestic prices. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 18,795 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 11,290 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 11,350.
