Light rains, cool winds maintain relief from humid weather

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) Light rains and thundershowers today hit Delhi bringing some more relief from the humid weather.

The light showers, which followed an overcast sky, hit the city in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degree Celsius, one degree above normal.

Earlier in the morning, humidity was recorded at 87 per cent due to overcast sky, resulting in a rise in minimum temperature to 25.8 degrees.

The coolness is likely to persist tomorrow with weatherman forecasting more rain and thundershowers in the city in the next 24 hours.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with likeliness of rain and thundershowers in some areas.
