Raipur, Sep 11 (UNI) The first international stadium of Chhatisgarh has been kicked-off with a Twenty-20 Cricket match here today.
Chhatisgarh Governor E S L Narshimhan inaugurated the stadium, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
Chief Minister Raman Singh and a host of other state ministers were also present there.
The newly-built stadium has a capacity of 60,000 coupled with the facility of flood light and electronics score board. Besides, the 13 blocks in the stadium named after the rivers of the state.
A huge spectators came to see the shorter version of the game played between former and present test and Ranji players blocking all the routes towards the stadium, situated about 30 km from the state capital, 12 pm to 3 pm.
