Employment training for SEZ-affected families: Official
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 11 (UNI) Employment would be provided to the eligible 2,000 families affected by the Kakinada SEZ by imparting required training under the Rajiv Udyog Sri Scheme, a top official said.
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had given instructions to officials saying families, who lost their lands and houses in U Kothapalli and Thondangi Mandals of East Godavari District, should be accorded priority in employment under the scheme,District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi said.
Speaking at the awareness session organised at the Samalkot TTDC Centre, near here, last evening,he said the affected families were being imparted training in various streams to make them employable in industries that come up in the KSEZ.
The first batch training would commence on September 15 and include hotel management, building construction,security guards and computer training, he said.
