2 Additional Judges For Madras HC, 1 for MP HC
New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) The appointment of three Additional Judges-- one in Madhya Pradesh High Court and two in Madras High Court-- was announced by the Law and Justice Ministry today.
Justice Rakesh Chandra Mishra takes over as an Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh HC for a period of one year with effect from today, one announcement said.
Justices P R Shivakumar and G Rajasuria take over as Additional Judges of Madras HC in that order of seniority for two years a week from today-- from September 18, another announcement said.
The latest appointments will reduce vacancies in Madras HC to 13 and Madhya Pradesh HC to one, as per a recent count which showed more than 260 of 876 sanctioned judgeships in India's 21 High Courts to be vacant.
