Uphaar case: Arrest warrant issued to Ansals'
{image-Uphaar fire tragedy_10092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Sep 10: The Supreme Court on Wednesday, Sep 10 cancelled the bail of Sushil and Gopal Ansal, who were sentenced to two years of imprisonment by the trial court in the Uphaar fire tragedy which claimed 59 lives.
The apex court also cancelled the bail granted to Ajit Chowdhary and Nirmal Chopra, managers of the theatre, who were awarded seven years of imprisonment. The order was pronounced by a Bench comprising Justices B N Agrawal and G S Singhvi. It ordered them all to surrender before the trial court at the Patiala House by 4 pm on Thursday 11 Sep.
