Opthamologist assistant attempts self-immolation

Raipur, Sep 10 (UNI) A opthamologist assistant today attempted self-immolation in front of the Chief Minister's residence demanding regularisation, police said.

Contract opthamologist assistants are carrying out an agitation demanding their regularisation since the past few days.

A member of their fraternity today attempted self-immolation but police saved him by tearing his clothes.
