One arrested for possessing Ganja

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Police arrested one person with 600 gms of Ganja kept in his Maruti car here today and also recovered a cell phone from his possession.

According to police Gangu Raj Kumar of Karimnagar district had come to the city five years ago in search of a job and worked as car driver. But his earnings were insufficient for his lavish lifestyle.

In 2003 he came in contact of Shilpa, a sex worker, and started prostitution business with her to earn easy money. He would send male customers to her charging a huge amount and share the money equally.

He was also supplying sex workers to other agents running brothel houses in Hyderabad. He would procure young sex workers from coastal districts and supply them to brothel houses by paying them Rs 30,000 to 40,000.

Simultaneously, he also started selling Ganja to customers who visited brothels. He used to purchase Ganja from an unidentified person at Mangalghat.
