MDMK to contest Lok Sabha elections alone

Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Sep 10 (UNI) Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) founder leader Vijayakanth today said his party would contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state alone.

Addressing a function at Thirunagar here, he said his party would fight alone in the coming general elections.

Alleging that both the Dravidian parties (DMK and AIADMK) had failed to find a permanent solution for the power crisis in the state during their regimes, he said his party would stage a demonstration at Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) to protest against the supply of power to neighbouring states.
