Maya ''insensitive'' over flood woes: Joshi
Lucknow, Sep 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Rita Bahuguna Joshi today charged the Mayawati-led BSP government with not rendering proper help to flood victims in the state and said the UP Chief Minister was ''insensitive'' over the issue.
Talking to mediapersons here, Ms Joshi said about 550 people had fallen prey to the disaster and property worth Rs 500 crore was destroyed. However the Mayawati government had done little for the victims and totally failed in providing rehabilitation to the people.
She further said the UP CM was the first CM, who did not visit the flood-hit regions.
However, later she did took an aerial view of few districts, including Gorakhpur, but failed to take out time to see the JE patients battling for the life at Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Ms Joshi asserted.
