Committee formed for appointing VC

Bhopal, Sep 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Balram Jakhar has formed a three-member committee with the objective of forming a panel for appointing a Vice Chancellor in the Rani Durgawati University in Jabalpur.

In an order released here today, the committee -- headed by New Delhi's J C Jain -- comprises New Delhi-based Molecular Genetics Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Kailash Chandra Uppadhyay and University Grants Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Moolchand Sharma.

The committee has been directed to provide at least three names for panel along with recommendations within six months before the Chancellor.
