Chopper service to Bharmour

Shimla, Sep 10 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has started helicopter service to Bharmour in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.

According to an official release here, the Chopper service had commenced from September 2 and would operate upto Ghorikund for the benefit of Manimahesh Yatra pilgrims.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Tulsi Ram, who visited Manimahesh alongwith his family through the chopper service and took dip in sacred lake there, thanked the State government for starting the service to the tribal region.

Mr Ram Lal Markendey, Assembly Member from Lahaul Valley, met Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and demanded stocking of essential commodities in the valley for the winter.

He demanded speedy repair of link roads in the valley which were damaged due to heavy rains The Chief Minister assured restoration of damaged roads and stocking of essential commodities and fuel in tribal districts before snowfall.
