17 smugglers nabbed in Bihar

Hazipur, Sept 10 (UNI)Bihar police today recovered four precious idols of gods and goddesss,several old coins and huge amount of foreign currencies from smugglers here.

District police superintendent Parswanath said acting on a tip-off, a special team of Bihar police raided several hideouts of the smugglers and seized the ancient idols, coins and foreign currencies worth Rs 2.5 lakh from 17 people. They were arrested.

An FIR was lodged in the local police station, while interrogation of the arrested was on.
