Zardari to take oath as Pak Prez on Sep 9

Islamabad, Sep 9: Pakistan is all set to welcome the new President, Asif Ali Zardari. Zardari, husband of slain former Pak Prime Minister and People Party of Pakistan(PPP) supremo, Benazir Bhutto, will be sworn-in on Tuesday, Sep 9.

Zardari won the pakistan presidential election on Saturday, Sep 6 with a comfortable majority. He got 481 of 702 seats. He arrieved at the presidential palace at Islamabad accompanied by his two daughters. Hamid Karzai, the President of Afghanistan will attend the oath-taking ceremony to be held on Tuesday, Sep 9. The President of Pakistan's is elected by secret ballots in the national and four provincial assemblies.
