One person killed, two injured as railway engine hits trolley

Latehar, Sep 9 (UNI) One gangman was killed and two others were seriously injured when a railway engine hit a trolley near Mawa-Mela crossing, about 25 km from this district of Jharkhand today.

Police said six gangmen after inspecting railway line were returning on the trolley when an engine hit them from behind between Tori and Mahwamelan stations under Barkakana-Barwadi railway division at 1600 hrs.

The deceased was identified as Ram Kishun Yadav (50).

The injured were rushed to Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi.
