No innocent should be punished in Azamgarh incident: UP DGP

Azamgarh, Sep 9 (UNI) Taking serious note of Azamgarh incident, Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh said the matter would be probed thoroughly and might go for a narco test if needed.

Mr Singh was here to investigate the incident, in which a man died and three sustained critical wounds after some miscreants pelted stone on BJP MP Yogi Adityanath's cavaclade.

He said the government was taking the matter seriously and the guilty would be punished.

However, the also maintained that stress was being made that no innocent got punished and if needed narco test would be conducted to bring the culprit in fore front.
