Flood defers 13th Finance Commission visit to Bihar
Patna, Sep 9 (UNI) The 13th Finance Commission's proposed three-day Bihar visit, scheduled from September 18, has been deferred till November, following floods in the state.
Informing this, deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi here said the Bihar government was to hand over a memorandum to the Commission, demanding 'special package' for Bihar, following the loss of revenue the state suffered after Jharkhand was carved out of it.
''The team will now arrive in November and dates would be finalised in due course,'' he added.
