Asha Bhonsle daughter attempts suicide
Mumbai, Sep 9: Varsha Bhonsle only daughter Asha Bhonsle was rushed to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday, Sep 9 for overdosing on sleeping pills. Varsha who was found in an unconscious stage in the morning is now reported to be out of danger. But is still in the ICU unit and under observation. “It is not a suicide attempt. She took an overdose of some medicine. She is now in the ICU," said a senior police officer. Varsha Bhonsle is a divorcee.
Varsha is a journalist and a freelance writer working with a well-known publishing house in Mumbai. Varsha, 50 years old, stays by herself in a locality same as her mothers. The second of Asha's three children, the eldest being son Hemant and the youngest Anand, Varsha has worked as a columnist for The Sunday Observer and Rediff. OneIndia News
