AnSI will organise month long exhibition
Shillong, Sep 9 (UNI) The Anthropological Survey of India(AnSI), under the Union Ministry of Culture, will organise a month long exhibition on ''Human Origins, Genome and people of India'' in Meghalaya from September 13.
According to official sources the exhibition, being hosted by the Ramkrishna Mission at Cherrapunjee, has been designed in three dimensions to help explore the past, understand the present and inspire ideas about the future of the species Man(Homo sapiens).
The exhibition will also highlight North East India as well as the work done by AnSI in the region.
The exhibition will try to implement innovative plans for the public as well as students to help them keep abreast of the latest development world-wide in human genetics.
Besides, instruments used in the anthropological studies will be exhibited.
